Vintage Mid Century Modernist Folk Art Painting | Framed Original Mid Century Modern Artwork, c. 1972

Mid Century Modern framed artwork featuring two wide-eyed figures surrounded by playful waves, striped balls and a colorful sailboat. Painted in a wonderfully bold palette of orange, yellow, blue, red and green.  The visible brushwork, graphic patterns and charmingly unconventional figures give the painting a joyful, one-of-a-kind presence. It is presented in its original simple wood frame, which complements the warm colors and handmade character of the artwork. The reverse bears handwritten inscriptions, likely signed by the artist, Johannes Kagan.  The painting and frame show age-appropriate wear.
