Vintage Herman Miller Eames Upholstered Fiberglass Shell Chair – Stacking Wire Base, c. 1950's

Authentic Mid Century Modern stacking molded fiberglass shell chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, c. 1950's.  Upholstered in a lovely and rare saddle brown color.   The seat sits on a chrome wire stacking base and was previously used in IBM offices during the mid century period. The fully upholstered shell offers a more refined, comfortable take on the classic Eames fiberglass shell chairs while retaining its sculptural profile.  A versatile and iconic piece ideal as a desk chair or dining room chair.  Good vintage condition with some oxidation, scratches, scuffs; one chair glide is chipped.  Shell is stamped with the Herman Miller emblem underneath.
