This stunning mid century modern teak sideboard, designed by Tom Robertson for A.H. McIntosh of Scotland in the early 1960s, is a perfect blend of timeless design and functional storage. Featuring sleek minimalist lines, richly figured bookmatched teak grain, and McIntosh’s iconic sculpted scalloped handles, it captures the elegance and craftsmanship of the era.
The layout is as practical as it is beautiful: three dovetailed drawers on the left (with a black velvet-lined, divided top drawer for cutlery), central double doors with fixed shelving, and a right-hand drop-down drinks cabinet with a sliding pull-out tray for serving. Fully refinished and in excellent vintage condition, this sideboard also retains its original brand label and a finished back—making it ideal for floating in an open space.
Whether styled as a dining room buffet, a bar cabinet, a media console, or a living room credenza, this rare McIntosh design offers versatility, sophistication, and enduring quality.
