An exceptional and hard-to-find Mid Century Modern Model 203 armchair designed by Arne Vodder for France & Daverkosen and a matching ottoman, c. 1960s. This iconic chair is a showstopper from every angle, showcasing sculptural lines, warm teak tones, and extraordinary craftsmanship.  The solid teak frames have been freshly cleaned and oiled, revealing stunning grain patterns throughout. The chair features Vodder’s signature hinged brass backrest, designed to flex gently as you lean—an elegant detail that enhances both comfort and design integrity.  The chair and ottoman retain their original bright blue tweed upholstery which has some soiling and loss of cushioning, giving the next owner a perfect opportunity to re-upholster in a fabric of their choice.  The chair retains its original manufacturer and retailer labels, including France & Daverkosen and John Stuart. Two sets are available.
