Finn Juhl FD 540 Teak Extension Dining Table by France & Son, c. 1950’s

Rare Mid Century Finn Juhl Teak Danish Dining Table, Model FD 540, manufactured by France & Son, c. 1950’s. This expandable table is made from solid teak and can flexibly expand from seating 8 guests to as many as 12 by adding the two expansion leaves that hide underneath the tabletop. The sculptural “lips” at the ends of the table double as handles to pull the table open / closed. Extremely solid and sturdy, this solid wood table is ready for decades of use. The leaves store underneath the tabletop so they are within easy reach when you need to expand the table.  The table has been lightly refinished and is in excellent condition.  If you’ve been searching for an extra long dining table to entertain your family and friends that is as much functional as it is a piece of art, you’ve found the one.
