An unusual late 19th-century carved oak drop-leaf table with a rotating top that transforms from a compact triangular form into a distinctive cloverleaf silhouette. The top turns to support the raised leaves, combining an ingenious folding design with richly detailed craftsmanship. Pronounced oak grain, carved foliate borders, and a central floral medallion complement three barley twist legs joined by matching twisted stretchers and rounded bun feet. Equally compelling open or folded, the table offers a sculptural presence suited to a library, sitting room, or entryway. Condition includes surface scuffs and scratches, some surface losses and wear consistent with age and use.
Dimensions: 43.5”x40” (open position) | 29” along each triangle side (closed) x 31”H
