Antique English Georgian style oak mule chest dating to the 19th century, distinguished by richly figured wood grain, warm coloration, and an expressive aged patina. Fluted corner columns, brass bail pulls, and shaped bracket feet lend architectural definition to its substantial form. The hinged top opens to a generous blanket box, offering ample concealed storage for blankets, linens, and bedding, complemented by five drawers below. Equally suited to a bedroom, spacious hallway, or living room, the chest combines practical storage with the enduring character of English country furniture. Wear consistent with age and use includes finish loss, discoloration to the top, veneer loss to the front, and scratches and rubs to the drawers and legs, as pictured.
